Honestly, the story is cute but I feel this book was unnecessary。 It felt like it was dragged out! I was happy with the ending though。

4。75 ⭐️ (listen it was better than a 4。5 but i loved the first book more so 4。75 it is) SALEM & THAYER!!!!!! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH 😭😭 their first book BROKE ME and this one healed me 🥲 i’m so happy they got everything they deserve and i’m so happy this was two books instead of one。 i loved seeing all these moments in their life that just wouldn’t hit the same of it were just an epilogue。 there wasn’t much of a conflict in this but they suffered enough conflict in the first so i didn’t mind at all 4。75 ⭐️ (listen it was better than a 4。5 but i loved the first book more so 4。75 it is) SALEM & THAYER!!!!!! 3。5 starsI´m a bit disappointed about having to write this review, because I absolutely LOVED the first book in this duet, it was one of my favorites this year。 But unfortunetly the sequel didn´t live up to it。 Don´t get me wrong, it´s still a good story, but just not on the same level。 It needs more angst, even though it´s supposed to be less angsty, it´s always good to have some level of angst。 I feel like things just kept happening so well and right, without many troubles。 I prefer a little b 3。5 starsI´m a bit disappointed about having to write this review, because I absolutely LOVED the first book in this duet, it was one of my favorites this year。 But unfortunetly the sequel didn´t live up to it。 Don´t get me wrong, it´s still a good story, but just not on the same level。 It needs more angst, even though it´s supposed to be less angsty, it´s always good to have some level of angst。 I feel like things just kept happening so well and right, without many troubles。 I prefer a little bit of a conflict on stories。I can´t really put it into words, but this one didn´t move me like the first book。 I still love the characters and the story。 It just didn´t wow me like the first installment。 。。。more

The Best!!!This book was great! I recommend it to everyone I meet! I liked it so much that I plan on reading all of this authors books! Be sure to read The Confidence of Wildflowers first。
JMC,
Finished the book much later than the first one which just only took me a day, and that's the reason why I'm rating this three stars—and also CALEB。 It didn't keep me captivated like the book one。 Kept rolling my eyes while reminding myself that I'm reading a novel and not an inspirational book; the writing style was that bad。 Sighs。 And oh, that part around 66% of the book? Totally unnecessary。 Meh。Topics: Age-gap, second chance, unrequited love, cancer-death, car accidentHero: ⭐️⭐️⭐️Heroine: ⭐ Finished the book much later than the first one which just only took me a day, and that's the reason why I'm rating this three stars—and also CALEB。 It didn't keep me captivated like the book one。 Kept rolling my eyes while reminding myself that I'm reading a novel and not an inspirational book; the writing style was that bad。 Sighs。 And oh, that part around 66% of the book? Perfection! This book is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside。 I was captivated by this story and my heart literally raced while reading it。 I haven't cried or felt empathetic to characters in a long time。 This is probably one of my top reads of 2022! It's so much more than a romance。 It's about life and how we choose to live and overcome all the things we are handed。 It is relatable and thought provoking! Meryl Darren Tan,
Giving it an average of 3 shining stars, I have to agree with everyone when they said that not much has happened in this book。 It's a continuation of Thayer and Salem's love story, but aside from the cliffhanger from the first book, I don't think you'll miss a lot when you want to skip this。 It's obvious they'll get a happily ever after, but the rest of it is a bit unnecessary and also repetitive that it gets a bit tad boring, if I may say。 I still find our MC, Salem a bit hard to like, and I fe Giving it an average of 3 shining stars, I have to agree with everyone when they said that not much has happened in this book。 It's a continuation of Thayer and Salem's love story, but aside from the cliffhanger from the first book, I don't think you'll miss a lot when you want to skip this。 It's obvious they'll get a happily ever after, but the rest of it is a bit unnecessary and also repetitive that it gets a bit tad boring, if I may say。 I still find our MC, Salem a bit hard to like, and I felt even worse for Caleb's character here。 It's a quick, fast, and easy read, but it's truly not something I'd openly recommend to everyone。 It's not bad, but I just think the first book was already good enough as a standalone。 。。。more

After the first book, I had to this one in one sitting because I needed to know if Thayer and Salem get there happy ever after… AND THEY DID!!! Omg!! I cried for them, for the sad moments and for the happy moments!

Kerri Guimond,
Big NopeSoooo cheesy。 I hate how Thayer gets his own voice in this book, when it wasn’t like that in the first。 Plus, him and Salem sound exactly the same。 The writing is very repetitive and simple。 The “perfect” man, ex husband, in-laws… ya, gag。 I think the writer thinks Thayer is woman’s dream guy。。 nope。 He is clearly a woman’s creation。 It dragged, and every character is always saying the most perfect response, no conflict。 I eye rolled from beginning to end。
Sasha Bree,
this book is basically a 331 page epilogue… and it somehow made me happy, sad and angry all at once
Jamie White,
My first book of May and I’m so happy it was this book!Thayer and Salem have completely stolen my heart。I was scared for the rest of their story together。While so many parts of their journey have been amazing there have also been so many trials。I am so happy to get to see a peek into their happy lives and family。 I could read a 10 book series about Thayer and Salem and it wouldn’t be enough。I didn’t think I could love them anymore after the confidence of wildflowers but I was so wrong。
Autumn,
Great SeriesI feel in love with this series。 It brought the tears。。。made me LAUGH and smile and ended great。 Highly recommend!
Mila,
I got a little bit bored with this one, but I still liked it。Btw, I want Caleb for myself

3。5 StarsWhile I loved the first book, this one felt like an extended epilogue and I was let down by it。 I wanted the same level of angst from the first book but it wasn’t there。

Tearjerker in the best of waysY'all I sobbed while reading this book。 The lows were so low and so reminiscent of some recent hard things in my life, I almost had to put the book down, but the highs were perfect。 I loved reading it all, and know I'll be coming back to this in a happier season when I can better appreciate some of the topics。 Highly recommend! ClaM85,
I loved the first book just as much as I found the second one pointless, too long and way over the top。 The one thing they had in common was the repetitiveness of a few concepts。 I also loved Grumpy Thayer more than über sweet Thayer, nevertheless he was a magnificent Cinnamon Roll and an excellent feminist。 Salem… is pretty imperfect but fairly real。Four stars to the first book, two (rounded up) to the second。
Issa,
4。5 ⭐️This book felt like the perfect ending I felt it was a tad bit long and very little parts boring。 Salem is such a good character and everytime Forest got brought up it was like a stab to my heart!!!! I’m happy we got the happy ending they deserves。I kinda felt bad for Caleb and Thayer kinda got on my nerves a bit during the parts he was internally saying that Caleb is not Seda’s dad 🙄
Isabella Emanuele,
I'm sad and a little disappointed with this book, let me explain why!。 This book was indeed really good that's why I rate it 4 stars, but I felt that this author really missed the mark with the plot of this book, there were so many missed opportunities。 I really would've liked to see what happened after Salem left。 I wanted to see Thayer and what happened to him, His son Forest's funeral and what happened to Salem when she moved, and so forth。 This book did not continue on from where the first o I'm sad and a little disappointed with this book, let me explain why!。 This book was indeed really good that's why I rate it 4 stars, but I felt that this author really missed the mark with the plot of this book, there were so many missed opportunities。 I really would've liked to see what happened after Salem left。 I wanted to see Thayer and what happened to him, His son Forest's funeral and what happened to Salem when she moved, and so forth。 This book did not continue on from where the first one finished, instead, it took a huge 180 and jumped straight into a new love story between the two main characters, because of this the past was lost straight away。 I did however love the character development and how each one was able to find their happily every after, I also loved that this book still kept the emotional rollercoster action as the first one, this was definately a good ending to this series I just wished this author didn't skip so much of the timeline。 。。。more

Once again Micalea Smeltzer just wrecked me in this duet with Salem and Thayer。 I still haven't recovered from the cliffhanger in the first book but just wow seeing how far they have come。 Thayer was her everything and it is the reason why she has grown the way she has。 His love showed Salem that nothing is for keeps yet second chances are worth waiting for in this case。 These two are just perfect in everyway from giving strength to one another and hope that anything is possible。 Micalea Smeltze Once again Micalea Smeltzer just wrecked me in this duet with Salem and Thayer。 I still haven't recovered from the cliffhanger in the first book but just wow seeing how far they have come。 Thayer was her everything and it is the reason why she has grown the way she has。 His love showed Salem that nothing is for keeps yet second chances are worth waiting for in this case。 These two are just perfect in everyway from giving strength to one another and hope that anything is possible。 Micalea Smeltzer just showed us that no matter the distance in between love is stronger than ever and the heart knows what it wants。 Seeing these two see their love for one another has never fizzled only growing stronger just wowed me。 Reminds me that even though we see and expect the worse a little bit of love and faith comes a long way。 Loved it and shows us youur first love can never be forgotten。"I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review。 I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own。" 。。。more

I got to 93% and i couldn’t anymore, it was very repetitive and the character were insufferable。I tried to finish it but i could stand any of the characters anymore they were all the time say the same things over and over again。One of the wort books I have ever read

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I absolutely devoured this book just like the first one。 I love how Salem grew to be even more strong and an amazing mother。 Thayer being able to overcome his grief and again become the man we all fell in love with was beautiful to read and finally getting his POV。 Just like the first book, this one made me cry。 Both sad and happy tears。 I truly loved this duet。

2。5 stars, generously rounded up to 3。 This book felt pointless and a lot of it seemed unrealistic with what happened in the first book。
Caitlin Rieve,
sunshine Thayer and salems love story might be one of my favorites ever。 Of all the things they went through, it was a journey I truly enjoyed reading。
April Grace,
Once again, Micalea Smeltzer had just blown me away with her story telling。 It didn’t rip my heart out and feed it to me as much as the first book did, but trust me it’s plenty sad with notes of regret, overwhelming sweet forgiveness and a love that wraps you up like cuddling in blankets in front of a fire with a cup of hot cocoa。 It’s a lovely way to end the story (though I would not complain about a this book!) I will definitely be going through and purchasing all of Micalea Smeltzer’s books!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book healed me from the heartbreak of the first book。Again, I absolutely love Thayer and Salem and I'm so glad we got answers about their future。 I love how it showed their healing and was dual POV。Thayer- the way he acted with Seda (also, can we talk about how Salem named her after Forrest and made sure that she knew all about him and Thayer-she's the best), the way he was so determined to go slow and wouldn't give up on getting his second chance with Salem 😩Salem- again, she's the best。 T This book healed me from the heartbreak of the first book。Again, I absolutely love Thayer and Salem and I'm so glad we got answers about their future。 I love how it showed their healing and was dual POV。Thayer- the way he acted with Seda (also, can we talk about how Salem named her after Forrest and made sure that she knew all about him and Thayer-she's the best), the way he was so determined to go slow and wouldn't give up on getting his second chance with Salem 😩Salem- again, she's the best。 The way she gave Thayer a second chance and moved past what he said when he was dealing with his grief made me love her even more。 But she never gets a break- when her mum died I couldn't stop crying。 They deserved so much better and her mum deserved to meet Victoria and Soleil。 However。。。。 I do feel like this was maybe dragged out a bit。 It could have been summed up in less chapters, or maybe even been an epilogue and an extended epilogue of the first book。 。。。more
Krystel,
Not really what I was expecting at the beginning but at least I am happy to have an ending for Salem and Thayer。
Brenna,
i LOVED the first book, & honestly enjoyed the first ~50 pages of this one。 but this could’ve just been a short epilogue to the first book。 a lot felt not necessary, but i still love thayer
Danielle Barraza,
3。5⭐️ Dont get me wrong i loved loved loved the first book, but this was……disappointing? It was mostly filler and could of been a two part epilogue i guess。 Yes it made me happy and sad but the feelings just weren’t there for me。 Also ngl Thayer did give me a few icks during this but that’s just my personal opinion。 I don’t hate this book but i could live without it。 Will i be buying a physical copy? Yes absolutely don’t talk to me😂
